National Award on Energy Efficiency 2021
Within the framework of the Viet Nam - National Energy Efficiency Programme for the 2019-2030 period (VNEEP3), on August 23, the Steering Board of the Vietnam National Energy Efficiency Programme - Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), in cooperation with the Viet Nam Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency Association (VECEA), is organizing the online launching event "Energy Efficiency Award in Industry - Construction in 2021, TOP RUNNER 2021".
For a successful Award, in addition to the approval of the business community, the technical support of international organizations also play a vital part. In recent years, the Federal Republic of Germany, through GIZ, has assisted the Government of Viet Nam in promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency. GIZ has had various activities in supporting to improve energy efficiency in the industrial sector, helping to bring positive economic, environmental and social benefits to Viet Nam.
Mr. Markus Bissel – Head of Energy Efficiency Component of 4E Project/GIZ shared that: “In the first phase of the 4E project, the very first National Energy Efficiency Award in Industry was successfully held in 2017. More than 350 energy saving solutions, efficient resource management and eco-friendly models have been identified and become best practices for many other companies. Following that success, GIZ continues to co-operate with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and VECEA to organize the National Award 2021 with the aim of looking for excellent businesses, female and male energy managers, and technicians in the industrial energy efficiency sector. Thereby, the Award is expected to contribute to raising awareness about energy efficiency of both organizational and individual levels.”
Qualified companies in the award will receive certificates and winning cups from the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Especially, certified products of the 2021 Highest energy efficiency standard will be labeled with a certification from the Ministry of Industry and Trade and and a QR code when brought to the market. The Award organizers expect that the award will attract enterprises with many certified projects and products, contributing to the successful implementation of the National Energy Efficiency Program for the 2019-2030 period.
