Energizing Dong Ha - Lao Bao 220kV transmission line (Quang Tri)
At 3h23 am on October 1, the Central Power Projects Management Board (CPMB) in coordination with relevant organizations energized Dong Ha - Lao Bao 220kV transmission line, ready to absorb the power of 16 wind power plants in Quang Tri province.
The transmission line is part of the project of Lao Bao 220kV substation and Dong Ha - Lao Bao 220kV transmission line, invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT).
Dong Ha - Lao Bao 220kV line is a double-circuit transmission line, about 47.3km long with 124 tower positions, passing through Trieu Phong, Cam Lo, DaKrong, and Huong Hoa districts. The starting point is the 220kV tower at Dong Ha 220kV substation, the endpoint is at Lao Bao 220kV substation.
Dong Ha - Lao Bao 220kV transmission line has been successfully energized
The project has commenced on 19 June 2020 and was completed on schedule, despite the complicated situation of the COVID-19 pandemic.
On September 29, a delegation led by Mr. Pham Le Phu - EVNNPT's General Director (the 6th from left) visited the construction site before project testing and energizing and giving encouragement gifts to contractors at the site.
The investment project aims to absorb the power of 16 wind power plants (with a total capacity of 626 MW) to be put into commercial operation before 1 November 2021 (the milestone according to Decision No. 39/2018/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister). Along with that, the project will contribute to the transmission of the power of hydropower plants in the western part of Quang Tri province to the national power system; ensuring electricity supply for this province.
Previously, on September 13, the AT1 transformer (220kV-250MVA) of Lao Bao 220kV substation was successfully energized, thereby completing the entire substation project with a total capacity of 500MVA.
