Denmark recycles old wind turbine blade to bike garages
Denmark is world known for wind energy and has been developing offshore and onshore wind power for several decades.
The typical lifespan of a wind turbine blade is 20 years. As a result, many turbine blades were to be disposed soon. This has created a challenge: How to effectively recycle turbine blades that contain non-biodegradable material?
The Re-Wind Network is repurposing discarded blades as bike garages in Denmark as a solution.
Moreover, the team is looking into more ways to recycle turbine blades as architecture elements.
