Meet Northern Industry 2021
On November 11, Viet Nam Trade Office in the Netherlands participated in "Meet Northern Industry 2021". The activity is organized with the support of the Royal Dutch Metals Association, Dutch Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, NL in Business, Frisian Export Club, Northern Export Club and the Groningen Regional Government with the purpose of supporting manufacturing businesses in the northern provinces of the Netherlands to find export and investment opportunities.
This activity was held for the first time in 2018, the Meet is re-launched this year with the participation of 60 small and medium enterprises in the North of the Netherlands after a year's pause due to measures to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. This is the first time, the Meet has the participation of representatives from England, Belgium, Germany, Romania, Poland, Estonia, Czech and Viet Nam.
Viet Nam is the only Asian country, participating in this activity for the first time with the purposes of introducing the investment environment in Vietnam and promoting 5 industries that are Vietnam's strengths and are considered to have potential for development in the Dutch market, namely: Textiles and garments, Rubber, Ceramics, Construction materials, Food & Beverage. This is also one of the activities to promote businesses and products recognized as “Vietnam Value” to the Dutch market.
Most of the Dutch businesses participating this time come from manufacturing industries such as chemicals, paints, boilers, auto parts, production lines, greenhouse ventilation systems, industrial systems, water treatment technology, production of bicycles, cameras, projectors, security scanners, air compressors, etc. Some enterprises have exported products and provided synchronous solutions for Vietnam such as water reuse systems for highland areas, air compressors in factories, equipment in shipbuilding. At the meeting, many businesses were interested in Vietnam's current investment environment.
